Saying Goodbye

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to write one last blog article to say goodbye, since I am leaving Outokumpu. It has been a wonderful company to work for, and I have had many great experiences and opportunities. Some of the highlights for me were participating in the Intro Programme, an opportunity to meet Outokumpu employees from many different locations and gain more insight into the company, working with lean and continuous improvement efforts including some PECAT training and of course, working with our great team in Brockville. With my co-workers’ help, I was able to develop my role from sales, to procurement, leading VSM projects and finally to a planning position. I learned a lot and also had fun along the way!
Since I’m leaving the Supply Chain team, I wanted to close by offering some insight into supply chain activity. One of our colleagues from OSTP in Saudi Arabia posted a link to a great article on logistics. I thought it was an interesting read so please take a look: Unusual Face of Logistics
