Manufacturing: The next opportunity?

Western Cultures have seen a steady decline in manufacturing since the 70′s. Globalization and open or free trade have been a large part in this with companies moving to find a cost advantage in market after market. We looked at the overall decline in manufacturing on Monday with China, Europe and North America all reporting reductions. Is this just a reflection of the overall economy or another shift in discovering newer and less expensive regions for production. Here is some of the information we have found.

But still has Nestle opens two R500 factories is South Africa – Acualite Information Africa.
With companies finding numerous opportunities in emerging economies to create cost saving what can Western economies due to once again be a competitive location. This includes manufacturing units already located in those regions.
